Dr Isaac Golden

Isaac Golden has been a homoeopathic practitioner since 1984. He was President of the Victorian branch of the Australian Homoeopathic Association - Australia 's largest national organization of professional homoeopaths - from 1992 to 1998.

In March 1999 he was awarded the Association's Distinguished Service Award for his 'many years of service to the Australian Homoeopathic Association and for his significant contributions to the homoeopathic profession in Australia'.

Isaac has been teaching homoeopathy since 1988. He is founder and Director of the Australasian College of Hahnemannian Homoeopathy which has offered distance education courses in homoeopathic medicine since 1990, including an RTO/Austudy accredited Advanced Diploma of Homoeopathy. He was Faculty Head of Homoeopathy at the Melbourne College of Natural Medicine from 1995 to 2004. He has recently been appointed as Adjunct Professor of Homoeopathy at ACNM.

Isaac is the author of nine books on Homoeopathy.

Isaac is a world authority on homoeoprophylaxis - the use of homoeopathic medicines for specific infectious disease prevention, and has undertaken the world's largest long-term study of parents using such a program. In 2004 he completed a PhD research program at the GSIM, Swinburne University , Melbourne , studying homoeoprophylaxis. This is the first time a mainstream Australian University has accepted such a topic for orthodox research.

 

Anita DiStasio

Anita has been in practise as a Naturopath for over 14 years, and combined with 21 years experience as a Registered Nurse, she has considerable practical experience of both orthodox and complementary medicine . She has been teaching Health Sciences with the ACHH since 1998, and is currently lecturing in Health Sciences and Nutrition at Holmesglen TAFE. She has always had the enthusiasm to help others help themselves, and focus on the prevention of disease. She is committed to continually upgrading her skills through courses and regular seminars.

Apart from taking a thorough case history, which includes looking at your diet and lifestyle habits, Anita may use a number of tests as required to provide her with a lot more information to facilitate the development of individual treatment programs to improve your health. The treatment program takes into account what the client is realistically able to manage at that time.

  • Hemaview - Live Blood Analysis - a screening tool using just a drop or two of blood under a microscope and viewed on a monitor up to 5000 times in magnification to assess the health of your cells (only at Cherokee Clinic at the moment).
  • Bioimpedence Analysis - accurately measures the key biological markers of ageing - fat mass, muscle mass, biological age, cellular toxicity, cellular vitality
  • Biofeedback Technologies (LIFE System) - precise analysis of energy flows to find imbalances and help correct them through the latest biofeedback technology . This assists the body to correct energetic imbalances.
  • Urinary Indican Test - a screening tool that allows identification of abnormal bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Zinc Tally - to evaluate the status of a client's zinc levels
  • A/B/O Blood Type Testing - for generating tailored dietary plans compatible with the client's blood type
  • Celiac Test - for detecting Coeliac Disease as well as monitoring coeliac sufferer's dietary compliance. Sensitivity and specificity of the test are comparable to other blood tests performed in pathology laboratories.

Anita is especially interested in educating and providing you with an understanding of the influences affecting your health and gives you the necessary tools to enable you to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. As a Naturopath, Anita addresses any health concerns naturally . Common health conditions she assists clients with, and has a special interest in, include, neurological problems including depression, blood sugar problems/diabetes (including prevention), weight control, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal problems, hormonal imbalances such as thyroid, PMS, and menopausal symptoms, prostate problems, stress and anxiety, fatigue, sinus problems.

Anita runs courses in Diet and Nutrition from the clinic in Cherokee. Those on the mailing list will be informed of topics and dates. Also available, a range of correspondence courses in Natural Medicine and Homoeopathy.

Anita works in the Cherokee Clinic alongside Dr Isaac Golden , one of Australia 's most experienced Homoeopathic practitioners and educators, as well as being a world authority on Homoeopathic immunisation.

670 Gap Road Cherokee is located 10 minutes from the Calder Freeway via New Gisborne.

If travelling from Melbourne on the Calder Fwy, exit at the 'New Gisborne' turn off and follow sign to New Gisborne. *Continue on that main road (Station Road which continues as Barringo Road) until it ends at a 'T' intersection, then turn left, then first right which is Shannons Road. Drive up to STOP sign then turn left - that is Gap Rd. 670 is approximately 700 metres on the right with NATUROPATH sign at entrance.

If travelling from Bendigo on the Calder, exit at Gisborne turn off and follow sign to New Gisborne. Then continue as above*.

The Clinic may also be accessed via Gap Rd in Riddells Creek.
