AN INTERMEDIATE COURSE IN HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE

Our Intermediate course in practical homoeopathic prescribing is now available.

The course is designed for two types of students:

  1. Parents and others who want to be able to prescribe safely for family and friends for simple everyday conditions. This course will give a thorough grounding in the practical use of Homoeopathic Medicines.
  2. People who are considering a career in traditional medicine and who would like to know more about Homoeopathic Medicine before making a major commitment to undertake a professional study course. This course will give these people Tutorial credits in the Certificate courses offered by the Australian College of Hahnemannian Homoeopathy.

The cost of the full course is $340.00 that is made up as follows:

  1. Initial payment of $170.00 that includes the enrolment fee of $100.00 and $70.00 for the 4 books supplied with the course (a credit will be given for students who already own any of the prescribed books).
  2. Tutorial payments of $25.00 (Tuts 1 and 2) or $30.00 (Tuts 3-6) to accompany each Tutorial.

Syllabus of the ACHH Intermediate Course

TUTORIAL 1:

  • Introduction to the course
  • A brief history of Homoeopathy - the life of Dr.Hahnemann
  • Definitions and terms
  • Introduction to first aid prescribing
  • Simple first aid cases (using AHHP)

TUTORIAL 2:

  • The use of a Materia Medica - Boericke
  • The use of a Repertory - Kent's Repertory
  • A practical exercise in the use of Repertory
  • First aid prescribing (using AHHP and Boericke)

TUTORIAL 3:

  • The preparation of Homoeopathic remedies - potentisation
  • Schuessler's System - I
  • Repertory exercises
  • First aid prescribing (using AHHP and Boericke)

TUTORIAL 4:

  • Schuessler's System - II
  • Introduction to Polycrest remedies: Aconite, Arsenicum Album
  • How to repertorise a case
  • Simple cases to repertoise

TUTORIAL 5:

  • How to "take a case" - how and what to ask your patients
  • Some other repertoies.
  • Polycrest remedies: Belladonna, Byonia, Calcium Carbonate.
  • Practical case taking using repertory

TUTORIAL 6:

  • Polycrest remedies: Lycopodium, Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla, Silica.
  • A brief introduction to prescribing for chronic disease.
  • A "short-cut" repertorial method.
  • Practical case taking.
  • Concluding comments.
